Walk-In Lab, LLC

Anytime I want to get my hormones tested I use Walk-In Lab. They work directly with LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics, which I love because you don’t worry about the hassle of getting a prescription from your doctor every time you want labs. I’ve been testing my leptin and other hormones through Walk-In frequently, and the results are usually available within a day or two.

The Hungry Brain

Stephan Guyenet, Ph.D. is an expert on the neuroscience of appetite and eating behavior. In his book he explains the evolutionary reasons behind why dieting is so difficult and why our bodies react the way they do to caloric restriction.

Brain Over Binge

Kathryn Hansen shares her struggle with bulimia and the realizations the allowed her to recover. She does a great job explaining the struggle between our human brain and animal brain and how it leads to disordered eating.
